What makes one type of massage different from another and how do I know which one is best for me?

The differences in massage therapy have to do with the individual receiving the treatment and their needs. Our Massage Therapists provide a consultation with you at the time of your service to determine if you need deep tissue, Swedish, or a light soothing therapy.

What is Reflexology and how beneficial is it to my health?

Reflexology is the practice of massaging the feet to alleviate stress, reduce muscle tension and improve circulation through massage techniques focusing on specific pressure points. Reflexology also boosts the immune system and helps to relieve sciatic pain.

Do you offer full-service Manicures and Pedicures?

Yes. Both our Manicure and Pedicure services will take approximately 45 minutes each (unless your nail service includes the French polish—add 15 more minutes) and both services include a Paraffin Dip.

What makes your Facial services different from other services in the area?

Our Facial Therapists offer a consultation with each client to determine his or her special needs. Your facial experience is continual without breaks with the therapist. All Facials include a head, neck and foot massage to complete the full facial experience.

What should you do to prepare for a Facial service?

It is helpful if ladies are makeup free prior to their service. Shaving is recommended for men prior to a Facial at least two hours before their scheduled appointment.

Do you offer Waxing services?

Yes, for the face area only.

Why do you use Dermalogica® skin care products?

Dermalogica® products are made from plant and flower essence. They are 100% natural and although gentle for your skin they are very effective. In addition, the company Dermalogica® is continually educating their customers and offer wonderful educational programs for their customers, spa owners and their clients.

Are the Dermalogica® skin products available for sale?

Yes. Dermalogica® products can also be purchased or ordered through the spa without purchasing a service.

What if I am pregnant?

Although there are few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed after your first trimester. It is helpful when making your appointment to inform our staff that you are pregnant.

Do you offer spa services to children?

Spa services are available to children 12 years of age and older.

Can you accommodate groups?

Yes; however, group services must be scheduled in advance. Some services may be limited depending on the needs of the group. A 50% credit card deposit is required to reserve a group spa experience.

Are you open year-round?

Yes.

What is your cancellation policy?

Services are reserved especially for you. We charge a 50% cancellation fee for appointments with less than a 24-hour notice. No-shows will be charged the full service fee. Late arrivals for scheduled appointment are subject to a partial or no service. We will attempt to provide your service in full; however, a partial service or re-schedule may be necessary. Group appointments must confirm 1 week in advance. If a group cancels or is not available for their service within one week of the appointment time the full service fee will be charged.

How is Lotus Day Spa and services different from other spas in the area?

The Lotus Day Spa is unique in many ways. We offer a small, intimate, and calm setting. We also offer personalized services and treatments unique to each client’s needs. We like to be flexible with our client’s schedules so they never miss an opportunity to care for their mind, body and soul. We are locally owned and operated and open year-round.
